A horse of course

On this trying to snow day, I thought it would be fun to go to the horse corral and use their fence. I had NO IDEA the horses would be this friendly and ham it up for the camera THIS much?! seriously? (we did bring a bag of carrots, though....)

uh, that's a cutie pattootie if I ever saw one

a white Christmas for Christmas!

We had to wait for the little bear to make a snowball........

Ok, it was the day after Christmas, but this new snow still counts for a white Christmas. Pat has the family all together (a rarity!) from all parts of the country for the holidays in Sun Valley. What better way to remember this special time than with some fun portraits!

I love the candid lifestyle portraits in between the group shots.....

a white Christmas for Thanksgiving!

The day after Thanksgiving it warmed up to a balmy 20 degrees, and I convinced this family to venture out to the Sun Valley golf course. We did the big group, and tons of other mini sessions and even some candids - all in an hour. The family let their 11 year old resident fashionista plan the outfits. Everybody was into it, and the experience created a great family memory. Everybody had fun - even the adults that thought it would be like going to the dentist. The families are stoked I put all the high res images on a dvd with a copyright release form, so now they can make enlargements, big canvases, and christmas cards to their heart's content.
