some cute stuff in between rain storms, cold butts and foot fetishes

oh, you're killing me.......

so then we came inside and got some fun 'life portraits'...

ha grandpa! you will stay young forever if you keep playing with the girls like that. Happy Birthday!

Mom's little superstar jumped in front of the camera and said "have you seen me lately?" Ha! that's the funniest thing I've heard all week. Just another day at the office..........

10 years of family portraits

I had the pleasure of photographing Adam and Julie's wedding over 10 years ago, following with pregnancy portraits, and now it's blossomed into family & baby portraiture for them - and his brother Jason. They live in California now, but visit family here in the valley -this winter at the same time - and I'm lucky enough to swoop in and document their growing families.
their new little one is such a cutie patootie!

Here's Adam and Julie and thier boys...

Janie is one of the hippest grandmothers I know! And she has a beautiful home out East Fork which I LOVE to photograph at

I also love baby parts....... beautiful little quirky things that I find beautiful, but won't last forever....

new toes!!!!

ok, so Adam and Jason get my father of the year award for building the most amazing sledding hill in thier mom's back yard. The Eask Fork Luge!!! Way to go! (I even had a spin on it)
and that wraps up another afternoon with the Hairston families. See you next summer!

Winter Family Portraits

Christmas is the perfect time for portraits when kids are home from college and everyone is together. I shot Kerry Lee's senior portrait just last month, but we had so much fun Pam wanted to do it all over again when the whole family was in town. It was a stellar day, but it was BRIGHT. - and cold - we had to time our breaths!

Cats and Horses are family, too

I assured Heather that it was not unusual to squeeze three fluffy persians and a horse into the family christmas card. Heck, I've shot the Mystic Family with 4 dogs and a horse all at once!
But it does help having really gorgeous clients - team effort on this one. And her kids were exceptionally curteous & respectful - so good to see. Good job mom!! Heather is helping open the cool new restaurant in town, Sego, that everyone is buzzing about. The food comes directly from local farmers and I can't wait for the deck in the summer!!
